With a 48-24 win over Cleveland Central Catholic on Saturday afternoon, the University School football team improved to a record of 4 wins and 1 loss. U.S. jumped out to an early lead thanks to a David Dolansky one-yard touchdown run. The Preppers continued to dominate the run game as they scored four more times on the ground before the end of the half. Despite Cleveland Central Catholic scoring halfway through the second quarter, the Preppers went into halftime with a 35-8 lead. Junior Quarterback Jayden Cunningham went on to strike quickly in the second half via a 40-yard touchdown pass to Senior Brad Rehak. Cleveland Central Catholic scored twice in the fourth quarter, but this proved to be too little too late as the Preppers went on to win handily. With key wins over Rocky River and Bay Village, two playoff contenders in their region, the Preppers have a strong chance to secure a playoff game later this season. The Preppers will attempt to extend their win streak to three in a row next Saturday as they travel to face their rival up the street.
