The News Section is launching a new advice column called “Ask Prescott” to answer students’ questions about life at University School. You can send your questions to Prescott in the comments section of this article and subsequent “Ask Prescott” columns.
For example, here are some possible questions (we would like for them to be real and not fictional):
- I’m a new freshman and I was wondering if you had any helpful advice or hints as to what to look out for in my next four years at University School.
- What’s your advice for not forgetting to do my homework?
- What should I do if I’m failing tests, despite my studying?
- What should I do if someone borrows my things, but never returns it?
- What should I do if I’m having a hard time managing my school work and my after-school activities?
- How do I respectfully tell someone that their racist or homophobic jokes offend me?
Again, if you have a question for Prescott, send it to him anonymously in the comments section underneath this article with the subject line “Ask Prescott.” We will not be posting your first or last name or other identifying information, only the question that you send.
Unfortunately, Prescott cannot answer every question sent, and he will choose a sampling to address in the new “Ask Prescott” advice column. Also, unless Prescott chooses to answer the question, the questions will not be made public. Please keep your comments civil and respectful. Prescott will not be answering any inappropriate questions. Do not attempt to impersonate students or faculty in the comments section.
The questions will be answered by members of the News Section.
