Midnight Walk
The midnight walk was graced just by her sight,
The silence gone, fulfilling talk replaced
The dark grew dim and maybe even bright
The muted road had now a sweet embrace
Polite at first, a how to do and hey
But fun comes quick, a flirt, a tease, a kick.
The plans are made, a movie, lunch or play.
The time it flies, we’d best return and quick
There used to be someone walking with me
It used to be brighter on the dark street
There used to be someone talking with me
Just you and me used to be quite sweet.
Now everything is as it seems alone
Tis’ only I alone down to my bone
