Tom DeLuca is returning to University School for his third appearance on Friday, February 10th at 8pm in the Gund Auditorium at the Hunting Valley campus. Mr. DeLuca is a very capable hypnotist, and his show is a popular one on high school and college campuses. Consequently, he is a four-time winner of the National College Entertainer of the Year award. He has appeared on the front page of The Wall Street Journal, has been featured in the Rolling Stones and People magazines, and has appeared on countless talk shows including Maury Povish, CNN, MTV, Showbiz, and ABC News.
Mr. DeLuca knows that there are skeptics who question the validity of hypnotism. Firas Abboud, once a nonbeliever, can attest to this: “I didn’t believe in hypnotism before I saw the show freshman year, but now I do, and I can’t wait to see it again.” Once volunteers are selected from the crowd, it is surprising (and of course hilarious), to see what Mr. DeLuca can get them to do. Matt Strachan once said, “Deluca is super cool; it was hilarious when he made my friend Matt Engles dance around the stage.”
Mr. Deluca, last appearing at US in 2015, only performs at US every two years; thus it is vital to buy your tickets early. Tickets will be sold at the Upper Commons Café during lunch on Wednesday (2/8), Thursday, (2/9), and Friday, (2/10) for $15/ticket. Students may buy as many tickets as they would like either with cash or by charging their student accounts. Tickets will also be sold at the door for $20/ticket.
It is going to be a great experience filled with laughter and excitement — mark your calendars and be sure to be there!
